Traveling with my girlfriend we stayed at the Best Western for a week. We found our room large with an equally spacious bathroom, both very clean. The location was perfect for us to explore Santa Monica and Hollywood, though a car is strongly advised if staying here, as you'd be in for a long walk to even the sea front.... more

Room appearance was good for the price but very thin walls and window glass so very noisy. I was also unfortunate to have a room where the sun came into the room at 6am and there was no means to block it out. I would think there are many room like this one. more

Stayed here for three nights as wanted to be near the beach on the last stage of our California 2 week vacation without paying a fortune. Liked that parking was included in the price. The food from IHOP was surprisingly good especially their salads. The rooms are a little on the small side and unable to fit a rollaway bed.... more

We stayed at the Best Western Gateway for three nights, and really enjoyed it. The room was adequate sized and sharp and contained a bed with a pillow top mattress and a flatscreenTV. well located, plenty close to things you want to see in Santa Monica, esp. if you have a car. Less than 10 minutes from the beach, really close to the freeway for going other places in to Los Angeles. Good price for a nice room in a great town. Santa Monica a great base for seeing LA. more

It was wonderful to stay at a Hotel that was non-smoking. I have asthma and often when I stay in Hotels with non-smoking rooms, you still come in contact with smoke and this triggers an asthma attack in me. Stayed here for the night before travelling back to the UK. Rooms are ok, cleanish, TV rubbish, main problem was it is extremely noise, could hear everything in the next room, the wall may as well of not been there.
