The Scotia Inn is under new management & is FABULOUS. The pecan chicken, (speciality of the house) is moist, and very flavorful. I loved the sweet potatoe fries. Prices are very reasonable and large portions of food. It has become the new family favorite at our house. more

My out-of-date hidden california guidebook described this as a gem, and it looked like one when we rolled up and went inside. However, it's under new management and gone is the lauded restaurant and there's just a basement pub serving uninteresting and average at best food. We live in Eureka but look for congenial nearby B&Bs for our occasional romantic getaways. Scotia Inn used to fill the bill perfectly.
