Definitely nothing special. This was essentially a roadside motel (albeit a little larger). Room quite small by American standards, breakfast usual cheap&nasty plastic-y HI Express fare, overlooked a noisy highway which blotted out the view of the ocean. Great place to stay in Monterey. Had large room overlooking the pool. Staff v helpful - and told us to visit 17 mile drive / Pebble Beach, which are about 10 mins away - well worth it - see how the other half live!! No issues - do it! MJL more

The staff were good and I cant really complain about any element of this hotel. That said in no way was it at all special and so AVERAGE is the best assessment I can make. As a result I thought it was over priced and would not encourage anything other than functional visits. more

A newer hotel, 5 story with exterior corridors. Our room was kinda small for a family of four but managable. Nice flat screen TV, great breakfast, and a very friendly staff. If I had to find one flaw it would that the elavator was quite slow. more
