We were looking for a hotel in the Pismo Beach area and my husband stumbled upon the Shell Beach Inn on the internet. After checking the TripAdvisor I called and made reservations. I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and well kept. The rooms were nice enough. The only complaint I have was the bathtub was old and had scratches... more

We picked this place because it allowed our small dog and I am so glad we did. The rooms are great with two beds for a family of four. Located within walking distance of the Shell Beach cliffs and only a 5 minute drive to the beaches at Pismo Beach. Pool was clean and a lot of fun. I recommend... more

Close to the highway and the coast, the Shell Beach Inn is a simple ten-room motel that you may overlook but is worth checking out. This quiet quaint motel sits in the extreme north part of Pismo Beach. It has a homey charm, and better than average furnishings. A small heated pool was perfect to enjoy the outdoor cool foggy weather. Close enough to Morro Bay, Avila Beach and Cambria. more
