This is a charming place, it's not anything like a modern hotel so don't expect too much of it. The building is a beautiful old (1869) stone and heavy wood structure, and there are three large stone fire places in the public areas, one in the "living room" to your right as you enter, and one in each of the... My husband and I loved our leisurely lunch on a beautiful-cold-winter Friday. Our young servers were so professional for their age and were clearly well trained by similarly great managers. Although the decorating was a little outdated and carpet, window treatments, lighting, bedding was really tired, the basic structure took us back to the Lodge's early roots.Big beams, stone walls, awesome bar, fireplaces, were so well cared for... I had been to the Rainbow Lodge a few times and it was alright. Beautiful place but the staff has never impressed me. Now I am blown away by how I was treated. I come into the bar to eat a burger after skiing. Nobody is at the bar so I call in the back after waiting for 5 minutes.... More

Dinner reservation for a Friday late afternoon: warm-hearted people, hot food, cool ambiance. The nicest people and too much food for our appetites (we had to ask for doggie bags); would have liked to have seen a few more special vegetarian offerings but I imagine most slopers don't care. Love love love the building and old posters - I say... More

We stayed at this lodge, a great weekend. the interior is nostalgic of an old lodge, pine timbers everywhere. The property as very clean, room was comfortable (we stayed in one with full bath). great bar and wonderful dining among the pine timbers and large fire places. The food was very good. Staff was great, helpful and kind. walk outside... More

My husband and I just spent a most awesome overnight stay at the Rainbow Lodge in Soda Springs California. This place is quaint and quiet. The entire staff is there to see that your stay is most memorable. Each and every staff member is upbeat, with a smile on their faces and they really enjoy their jobs of attending to... More

This is not and does not pretend to be a four star hotel - what this is is a wonderful geust house with a phenomenally friendly staff. Don't expect a TV, don't expect wi-fi. But you will find that the hotel staff are amongst the friendliest you will encounter. We were made to feel very much at home. The lodge... More

Charming! We had a very good experience. Staff welcomed and treated us like family. The lodge is old world beautiful - master craftsman. For dinner I can recommend their chicken teriyaki with wild rice and fresh cooked carrots. Yum. We enjoyed the free breakfast at this B&B which was substantial, including fresh baked muffins. My husband said to mention the... More

A beautiful place inside and out, the Rainbow Lodge is excellent! The staff was wonderful to my family and little girl Willow. Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and didn't want to leave. The lodge itself is full of history, and if you are looking for a place to recharge and escape... More

My husband and I rented the Bridal Suite for our 10 year anniversary last Friday. We paid for 2 nights and left after the first night. We and a lot of our friends have been going there for years. Never again. It would have been nice to have a small bottle of champagne in our room, but they are too... More
