My husband and I just got back from an amazing stay at the MacArthur. It was fantastic. Very romantic and a perfect location. Walking distance to downtown sonoma. Spend the extra money and book a suite, they are amazing! more

This hotel is very convenient to the Sonoma Square. You can walk it, but it is a long walk. The grounds are wonderful. I don’t think we ever saw a leaf or flower out of place. I absolutely loved my stay at MacArthur Place.. the grounds are absolutely beautiful, lush landscaping , with a European feel .... I didnt want to leave ! By far the most beautiful hotel/spa I have ever stayed at. Ammenities were fantastic- from the soaps/lotions and mini bar, to the dvd selection, the wine happy hour, the breakfast was great (for free). The room was gorgeous and comfortable, welcoming. Macarthur Place is a 4-star hotel with beautiful grounds, impressive spa, nice looking restaurant (did not eat there for dinner), and comfortable rooms. We found this inn delightful. The grounds are incredible with gorgeous landscaping, sculpture, and water features. While I don't generally sit out at pools, it was a very nice pool and pool chairs.
