When we checked in we were immediately upgraded to a mission suite which was absolutely beautiful. The room had a fireplace ,a Jacuzzi tub , a nice flat screen TV and a great view off the deck. The concierge was very helpful and had great knowledge of the area.. All of the staff were very friendly from the front desk... more

I stayed at the hotel for two days. When I opened the door, I was extremely disapointed with the decor. The room looks like it has not been updated since 1970. The room was small and the TV had few channels. The room has a very old heater which makes regulating the temperature very difficult. The bathroom was a decent... more

When we saw the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in Sonoma, we had very high hopes! By the price we were paying, we thought this would be this nicest place we've ever stayed. Wrong. The room was somewhat old & outdated, although clean. They charge extra for wireless (come on, now, this is 2009), limited TV channels and they... more

Loved my stay of The Fairmont. We stayed in the main building (Heritage Room). This hotel was built in 1927, so it has the beauty of wide hallway and high ceilings. The rooms are done in Victorian decor; soft palet of pink and yellow. Very pretty. The king beds were very comfortable and the feather pillows were great. We stayed... more

Stayed here for three nights at the end of a busy trip to the US before returning home so was in need of some R and R. Despite the glowing description of our fireplace room on their website it was smaller than expected which is a shame for $469 a night! Declined the idea of a massage too for $175.... more

The room at this hotel is one of the nicest I have ever stayed in. It has an easy to use fireplace, wooden shutters on the door to the balcony and the nicest hotel sheets I have ever slept on. They also give you a bottle of wine. The bathroom was equally as nice as the room itself. It had... more

The hotel has 3 pools, you can only use one unless you want to spend an additional 50 dollars a day per person to use the warmer pool in the spa facility. They have a wine and cheese tasting in the afternoon the wine is free but the Fairmont charges you for the cheese..... this place has no class. more

Spent 4 nights here attending a conference. At $359 for the conference rate I think high expectations were reasonable. I give it 3 stars on what in my opinions is a relatively poor value. The good side: Staff very friendly and attentive, the grounds nice. The down side: Our room seemed a bit drab and outdated. Our bathroom window overlooked... more

Hotel is really beautiful but it's little pricey for what they give you. It's a good place for romantic getaway. Btw, spa is excellent. more
