Upon entering the lobby at the GuestHouse in Alexandria, La, the lobby was very dirty and had not been cleaned at all. Walking to our room there were several broken beer bottles along the way. There was no remote to the tv, no iron our iron board. The web site showed that every room had these amities. We were told that all the remotes and irons were stolen by Katrina vicitms. After checking into the room that my family and I had paid for we found that the beds were very old and sagged in the middle. My wife went to take a shower and the water spout shot out of the wall. We were assured that this hotel had been recently renovated. We were moved to another room that was ok and stayed the night.

We deceided to go ahead and stay in the hotel, so the next morning we got up and went out on our daily plans. We returned to the hotel much later in the day to find out our room had not been cleaned, and the broken beer bottles were still all along the breeze way and our room. I... more
