We stayed at the artists inn for two nights. It was fantastic. Dennis and Jody were so knowledgable and helpfull, a proper wealth of information. The Inn is situated in a lovely area of pasadena and a short throw from superb restuarants. The train station is a short walk and costs a little under $5.00 for return to los Angeles.... more

Booked a two night stay in the Expressionist suite in June 2008. Good decent breakfasts with fruits and yogurts (had eggs Benedict the first day and blueberry pancakes the next. Nice clean room but oddly the large hot-tub (which had seen better days) also served as a shower base but with no shower curtain surrounding it? Quiet but ordinary neighborhood... more

Charming, historic B&B, lovingly restored and maintained in spic and span condition in great location. Enjoy sumptuous breakfast on the porch overlooking the rose garden. Wild parrots are a surprise. I stayed one night here and found the location in South Pasadena to be very convenient, The Inn, with its artist-themed rooms was quiet and simply furnished but I found the breakfast very strange indeed - 2 strips of microwaved bacon (quite hard) and 1 microwaved apple dumpling! We selected this B&B for an overnight stay on a cross-country Amtrak tour. It is at a location that can easily be reached from Union Station, Los Angeles, and the price is reasonable.
