I needed to travel to Silicon Valley for work, and since I wasn't going to have a car, I needed a hotel that was on a convenient bus route. I couldn't have made a better choice than the Wild Palms. I would never recommend this hotel. I have stayed in other hotels in this chain and they were wonderful. This was one step up from Motel 6 or a Days Inn. Smoking was allowed everywhere. We could not be by the pool because of the amount of people smoking. People smoked everywhere. If you smoke it is a good hotel... more

Great rooms with a nice roomy desk - ideal especially if you are looking to carry work back to the hotel .... Comfortable beds and extremely good service ... This was my second stay at the Wild Palms. Wish they hadn't discontinued the happy hour but the breakfast is still top notch. The bed was a bit lumpy and the springs were showing their age. Having a blackout curtain in addition to the wooden slat blinds would have been helpful. Light from the hallway also leaked around the door.... more

The setting is very pleasant once you enter from the parking lot. It's very So Cal ambience in that the rooms are all set around the swimming pool. The rooms are a nice size with colorful bedding and color scheme. I would definitely recommend this place to single, female travelers. more
