THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL! we just wanted to get away for the holiday (4th of july weekend) but we only live 10 mins away (palo alto) and my daughter has eager to swim in this hot weather! so we booked it on Motels.com thinking it was an exceptional deal! My experience at the Sheraton Sunnyvale was extremely positive. We got the room at a discounted rate, but the staff didn't treat us like budget travelers -- they could not have been nicer or more professional. It is an older building, but it has been updated nicely. Flat screen TV, large really comfortable bed, free internet in the lobby, quiet,... more

We were harrased the entire time we were there by hotel security. We were told we were too loud when there was no one in the room. My elderly, ill, father-in-law was woken out of dead sleep to be told he was being too loud. The charges on my credit card continued for three days after I left the hotel... more

I was quite satisfied with the hotel Pros: - easy access to freeways - i think i saw a light rail/train very close by, but i didn't see the station (also did *not* hear train sounds or other street sounds) - free/ample parking - very friendly/professional/accommodating staff - quiet environment - great TV and reception - very large desk Cons:... more

Built in the 60's or 70's style, this hotel is unlikely to resemble any other Sheraton. Not that I stay at that many, it's just _that_ obvious. Two story walk-ups, individual buildings clustered on a sprawling acreage near freeways and businesses it makes an unlikely atmosphere for a vacation or romantic stay. Business meetings on the other hand are either... more

Second time I've stayed at this property and it was another great stay. Staff were friendly and professional and I actually had a chance to use the comp shuttle service--very convenient. The room was comfortable and was perfect for my needs. I have stayed at nearby boutique hotels and while they are fun for a night, I do appreciate the... more

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Sunnyvale on business. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the accommodations were. Apparently the property is undergoing renovations and my room must have been recently done because it was very nice and comfortable. The grounds were also a welcome surprise for something in the middle of town and on the highway. But the... more

It's not that this hotel was bad, it's simply that it wasn't very special either. For what seems a relatively high room rate, this is one of the most annonomous hotels I have stayed in anywhere in the world. Yes, the rooms are large, and so are the beds. Everything was clean, and mostly worked (except the restaurant which was... more

Note: This hotel is currently under renovation/construction on the exterior and roof of each building. It does not seem to affect the in-room experience, but if you think it may be bothersome, I wouldn't recommend staying here right now. The hotel is interesting in that it has multiple 2-story buildings surrounding a pool - almost resort-style. As a result, many... more

A truly awful dated Sheraton with dirty rooms. Checking into the hotel was OK but not a good experience, the lobby was fairly smart and had been refurbished but approaching the rooms you realise that the property is dated, the corridors seemed dull and damp on what was a fine, sunny day. The rooms are not the standard I expect... more
