My two sisters and I were on our own little get-away and stayed at the lodge and absolutely loved it! We checked in around 4:00 pm, were invited to the tea time still set up on the 2nd floor loft--had teas, coffee, lemonade, fresh fruit, and cookies--and then we gathered in the bar. It was a fun place, and so... more

We came to Sunnyside to stay for two nights for our anniversary. The setting, right on the lake is very special and beautiful but the Lodge and Dining at Sunnyside are completely subordinated to Bar activities. This is a place to come, look out at the water and drink with a lively group. If you want a nice romantic dinner... more

Due to some bad reviews I almost cancelled our reservations, we are so glad I did not. Lake front room was nice, good pillows and noise was never a problem!! We were there Thursday-Saturday nights. There is plenty of parking. Our 2 dinners were very nice. Decent service overall. Front desk very helpful getting boarding passes, help with jet ski... more

We booked a table on the deck for lunch for 5 people and were seated promptly. The server was great, however, the excitement went downhill when we were served our drinks. If you go to this restaurant and want a cocktail, it is highly recommended that you stick to beer or wine (avoid the $16 Chardonnay 4 oz pour!!). Our... more

"Private patios and decks mean relaxation is just steps away" claims the website, but the reality is quite different. Upon your arrival, you will be unable to find a place to park, since the restauarant business takes up all the parking places. You'll have to park down the road, and then try to dodge heavy traffic with your luggage while... more

The restaurant is probably the best and most popular in all of Lake Tahoe. Great food and an amazing social scene. but the tail really wags the dog here. Many of the hotel rooms are located near the restaurant and as a consequence, it can be VERY noisy both at night and in the morning. Don't plan on sleeping-in especially... more

I saw a lot of rave reviews of this place, and though it was cute, it was overpriced for what it was. Small rooms, expensive dining, and no A/C (I detest air conditioning, but the noise and the heat made it impossible to sleep), so it was 2 sleepless nights. For some reason we were above the delivery dock doors,... more

We stayed midweek and got a nice special with dinner included. We had no problem with noise from the restarant or the rooms next to us. Although it was midweek and raining while we were there, we had a very nice time, we liked the room, loved te view & thought the food at the grill was wonderful. All the... more

We would echo those who have posted favorable reviews. The one compliant we have is: there is no comfortable chairs in the room we had. If you are confined to room due to weather, there is no where to sit other than two hard back chairs or the bed. more

Our second time at Sunnyside and we would go back. They offer a great ski package. The restaurant is first class. The rooms are nicely done with outstanding views of Lake Tahoe. Service is great, friendly, and attentive. more
