Drove upto to Tahoe and Squaw Valley from San Francisco, as we were getting nearer our destination we drove into a blizzard. Police were out on the roads checking cars and would only let you drive on if you were in a 4x4 or had snow chains on this actually made us feel very safe knowing that if need be they would close the road. When we finally reached our destination again were so impressed with checking-in, once again the whole procedure took about 2 mins (had the same experience in San Francisco). as there was five of us we had booked a two bedroomed apartment and were not disappointed at all. We had an open plan lounge and kitchen , there were two bedrooms (again with such comfortable beds) two bathrooms, and two balconies (one from the lounge and one from a bedroom). The apartment was fully equipped with dishes and cutlery, cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and drier.
