Our family stayed at the "Fran" as they call it, for 2 nights in Nov for a little get away. We were in unit 33 which is a remolded unit by the pool, with king sized beds in both rooms. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us, a good sized fridge/freezer and good cooking equipment for eating in.... more

What a sweet find. ON the beach with a fireplace!! Stopped through here Thursday afternoon with my girlfriend looking for something homey. The "room" was a 1-bd cabin, nicely furnished from wineglasses to plants. While a little dated, this spot with brand new furnishings would be unaffordable. Best deal of the week traveling cross country. Great restaurant/bar across the street. more

We stayed here for three nights in August for a quick family getaway with two teenagers. This is a reasonably priced property with rather small cabins that are nicely furnished but nothing fancy. We stayed in #37, a one bedroom, one bath unit. My daughter and I shared the one bedroom (I can't remember if it was a queen or... more

Decided to spend my 50th birthday alone up in Tahoe for a few days as a sort of contemplative retreat -- reading, hiking, praying/meditating, and getting a couple of excellent massages and bodywork done in Incline Village -- (really recommend Gwendalyn-- part owner of Aloha Skin Spa and Jane O'Brien for her myofascial bodywork at North Tahoe Physical Therapy!). I... more

We came to Franciscan Lodge at the end of our trip to the USA (from the UK) and this was definately the best hotel that we stayed at. We stayed in No 9 and there was plenty of room for two adults and 2 children. After 2 weeks of hotels, it was pleasure to be able to 'eat at home'.... more

We live just a couple hours away and escape to Lake Tahoe as often as possible. We love staying here. The staff has always been incredibly helpful to us, and goes out of their way for us. If you really want peace and quiet, come up during the week. Each unit has a small kitchen which we love too. They... more

Of all the Tahoe area "motels" I've stayed in over the past 20 years this place is fantastic - great value, clean, comfortable, charming and super location. Unit 16 (economy studio) is very small but worked fine for 2 adults, 5 yr old & baby - especially at $85/night. Just moved to Unit 19 (small studio) and it's roomy w/... more

Our cabin was close to the lake. It was fully furnished and had free wireless internet access. The place was quiet and close to Safeway and restaurants like Garwoods and Lanza's. more

We arrived at sunset and could not believe the gorgeous view from the pier. The Franciscan is a small resort but the friendly staff and awesome location make it the best kept secret in North Lake Tahoe. We were in unit #53 on the forest side. This unit has been recently remodeled, everything is brand new and has a wonderful... more
