This place is not even on my top 100 places to stay. The staff here is very unprofessional and rude. room 120 doesn't even have a refrigerator because someone has stolen it. the manager refused to give us a key. His excuse was that the room did not have a key and would not give us another room. The towels... More

Sleep in your car, under your car, or under the wheel of you car before staying at this dump. Non-smoker rooms are anything but. Cigarette burns on all the furniture. Sheets are dingy grey and pillows should have been replaced 25 years ago. Pretty much the sleeziest motel I've ever stayed in, and all this at $60.00 a night.

I like trains and on my recent train spotting trip to the line between Bakersfield an Mojave I choose this charming motel to stay near the famous Tehachapi loop. I also love this classic style of motels especially when the rooms are clean, the owner is very friendly and the whole site is in very good shape like the Santa... More

I hadn't made a reservation. They answered the bell right away. Had my two dogs which weren't a problem for them. (I told them they didn't bark, chew things up, or make messes and that they wouldn't even know dogs had been in the room when we left...and that's true.) It was clean, good locks, tv had lots of cable... More

Located in downtown Tehachapi, which is still a very quiet calm area; it also is the oldest motel in town, and it looks it and smells it. The carpet is shot with a lot of cig burns. The furniture was junky and dusty. It had a refrigerator that was so old it smelled foul and was yellowed inside, the tv... More

My husband and I were delighted to find such a nice charming motel when we were driving through Tehachapi and had decided to stop off and have some lunch at the AppleShed. Thinking this little town would be fun exploring, we walked across the street to go check out the motel and really met some sweet innkeepers. The rooms were... More
