I have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past, and have always had a wonderful stay. However, I was disappointed to see the cutbacks in their service. In the past, they would always bring breakfast to your room in the morning, and there were multiple choices of cereals, pastries, and even hard boiled eggs. No more. Now... more

Tiburon is a fantastic location, sat across the Bay, with wonderful views and SF accessible via the ferry (check times as they are not frequent!). It is quiet, pretty and genteel, rather than racy! The Waters Edge is in a great location, right on the dock. Sam's (a great seafood restaurant and bar) is next door and although it was... more

Beautiful, modern hotel with good service. Rooms are bright with slight views and to my husband's liking, a very good AC unit in the room. Bathrooms are not top of the line finishes, but still acceptable. We loved the cheese and wine service around 5pm and enjoyed it on their beautiful deck/patio outdoors overlooking SF. We were skeptical of the... more

The hotel is somewhat hidden on the bay amongst some quaint restraunts and shops. The area is fairly quiet and secluded. The ferry station is right next door but we were never bothered by it. The staff was helpful. The evening wine & cheese and breakfast were small but nicely done. There were several different types of restaurants within only... more

We booked this hotel because we didn't want to stay in SF, but wanted to be close to the city (15 minutes), Point Reyes (40 minutes), and Wine Country (less than an hour away). There were awesome views of SF across the bay, and the room, while not perfect, was really nice - with a great bed, cool wood beam... more

This hotel, as others have noted, has a perfectly situated deck overlooking the bay, with views of San Francisco sparkling at night. That view is definitely the highlight of the hotel. Rooms are tastefully decorated, but we noticed paint peeling and general wear and tear on the furniture. The TV is a regular old box, and there's no minifridge in... more

We have been coming to this "little piece of heaven" since it's opening in 2000. There is not a better, relaxing ,nor more accomodating hotel anywhere. First, the location is perfectly situated on charming Main street overlooking the bay. In addition they offer a lovely complimentary continental breakfast served to your room every morning that includes anything from coffee, croissants,... more

We were impressed with this small (23 rooms) hotel right on the water in Tiburon. We were lucky to be upgraded to a larger room with direct deck access. The rooms are attractive and nicely furnished in typical boutique hotel neutrals., with tasteful, safe minimalist furniture. The desk had a handsome marble top, but was oddly low so that my... more

Spent three nights at the Water's Edge in December. We booked a room with a fireplace, but on arrival we were told that the fireplaces could not be used (and apparently this had been the case for some time). We were not given advance notice of this nor offered any compensation. The room was large and tastefully done, but a... more

It's nice to be able to get out of San Francisco and spend a little time in Marin. Marin is just gorgeous, the weather is really nice there in the summer and there is so much to do. I stayed at this hotel earlier this year just for a weekend excursion with my boyfriend. Plus, we both like Sam's and... more
