Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I'am going to be hones and start off by saying that I have not actually stayed here. But, My brother and his wife has. I wanted to do something special for them as they were going on a baby-moon. I emailed this establishment and asked if I can somehow send a card and a bottle of (non-alcoholic) champagne to their room upon their arrival. My brother didnt give me much info on this place except for a screen shot of a map of the area. I googled it and sent the email asking. Meghan, replied instantly and said that it would be no problem. She offered to have me send in a hand-written card, but, unfortunately, I wouldn't have much time. She exceeded my expectations of customer service and I will will go and stay in these cabins in the future. I live in Atlanta, GA so for her to do me this favor was huge. I am grateful! (I answered the rest of the questions below by asking my brother about his experience)

We really enjoyed our stay. There are 6 cabins on the site but all set apart from each other so you don't feel on top of anyone else. The cabins are clean, comfortable and cosy with all the cooking equipment you need and wood-burning stoves. The room also had firewood in it to burn. Meghan, the owner, was quick to respond to all our questions and there are maps and books available to borrow in the office . There is very limited wifi and no cell service, but that suited us just fine as we needed a detox. The area is also very beautiful and we had great fun snow-shoeing on a peak nearby. I'm sure in summer the hikes there are also really enjoyable. We hope to come back soon!

Very clean, well maintained, lovely setting. We had a cabin with a well appointed kitchen and a separate bedroom, an updated bathroom. Very comfortable. Missed not having WiFi. Good communication with proprietors.

Our family has stayed here many times over the past several years and always have a good time! The housekeeping cabins are rustic and charming, while clean and well stocked. We usually stay in Cabin #1 or the larger Cabin #7. The owners/managers are very helpful, accommodating and keep the grounds in lovely condition. In the summer, we enjoy the swimming hole right there on the Trinity River, along with many biking, hiking and walking options. The snow in the winter is also a fun, but different experience. Local grocery store and wood-fired pizza place in Coffee Creek very close by.

We made our annual visit to Ripple Creek Cabins this past week and as always it was a relaxing and peaceful way to escape cell phones and TVs and instead swim, ride bikes and enjoy the beauty of this property. As always Megan and Peter were wonderful hosts, the weather was perfect and we were even there to take in the solar eclipse. If you're looking for a place to get away from technology and relax in a beautiful location, this is the spot for you.

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary with a long-overdue, first-time trip to the Trinity Alps. More on hikes and other outings in a minute—first a few accolades about where we stayed. We spent the week following our return home reveling in and extolling the pleasures of our time at Ripple Creek Cabins. We stayed in #3, a cozy indoor/outdoor cabin shaded from the exceptional June heat by the plentiful, varied trees that grace this camp. (I also delighted in Michele’s many flower beds and hanging pots.) We relished the hum of the snowmelt-swollen Trinity River, along with our porch-sitting (including our frequent companion, Rachel the cat), river-dipping, and ping-ponging. (Many ways to play right outside your door—there’s also badminton, horseshoes, plus a passel of bikes). Access to hiking trailheads was a bit more rugged that we expected—especially for a car with low clearance and only front wheel drive—and the heat forced us over a pass or two to get to higher ground. But it’s beautiful country (granite cragged vistas, wildflowers, butterflies, meadows, lakes, rushing creeks and quiet seeps) and the remote location made for even more solitude that we’ve enjoyed in the Eastern Sierra. We’d also heartily recommend Trailhead Pizza in nearby Coffee Creek and Etna Brewing Co. in the town of Etna to the north (along with the bakery and old soda fountain at the pharmacy). We can’t wait to return, next time with 4WD…!

We have been here 3 times now and have made it our favorite place. Owners take the time to either just talk or show you around the property. There is a horse we befreinded & fed him apples. I love coming here for the peace & quiet and also taking long walks. At night you hear the rippling of the creek & chirping crickets. Cabins are very clean & have everything you need. There are bikes here to ride for free & games.

We've been taking a family summer vacation to these cabins for the past 4+ years and it's always a wonderful, peaceful getaway. Not a ton to do here but relax, read a book, swim in the river swimming hole, and take a bike ride with the kids. It's nice to have a place where you can just slow down, ditch the electronic gadgets, and relax. They have bikes for all ages you can ride, a ping pong table and lots of peace and quiet in a beautiful setting amongst the Ponderosa pines. I've stayed in 4 different cabins and they are all simple but nice. Not a ton of restaurant or store options out this way, so bring lots of food for the kitchen and/or BBQ and relax and enjoy. There is a wonderful pizza place back in Coffee Creek if you need a restaurant night out.

What a wonderful place to visit. We visited in Oct 2014 and the weather was perfect. The views amazing. If you are an outdoor person who loves nature, you will love this place. It's off the grid in the backwoods but the cabins are fully furnished so, all you really need are food and clothing. The cabins are family ran and they are very accommodating to make sure your needs are met. Mind you they were few and far between. We encountered lots of wildlife from deer to horses to a bear crossing our path ahead on the road. Blue jays are abundant, fat and beautiful. There is a creek within a few feet of the cabins that's easy to walk down to and COLD! You will love the views as well as the trails and awesome service. We plan to return in December because we fell in love with Ripple Creek.

We have been looking for a nice place to spend some of our vacations each year. After staying at a multitude of cabins and motels with kitchens, and being anywhere from disappointed to disgusted, we found Ripple Creek Cabins. What a pleasant surprise! We loved this place from the first moments, and loved it more as we explored the beautiful grounds with lovely flowers and plants everywhere, the swimming hole, our cabins, etc. Megan and Peter have done a wonderful job of not only thinking of everything one could possibly need while staying, from games, to free firewood and matches, to a very well stocked kitchen to fans, and on and on. The cabin was immaculate, the surrounding grounds were not only clean, but had nice designs in the dirt to look at...thanks for that, Peter! They also have Wi-Fi, it's not high speed, which they honestly tell you about, but it does work, if a bit more slowly than what you'll get at home. Your phones may or may not work, but they told us we were welcome to use the office phone anytime we needed to-we never did but it's nice to know we could. I like that they also apparently listen to their guests as someone had mentioned somewhere that they didn't have microwaves in all the cabins, only one in a room somewhere, but when we arrived, all the cabins have them. We also played some ping pong. The funniest thing happened which made us laugh. The resident cat hopped up on the table and made himself at home while we played one evening. What was hilarious was first, a ball fell near him and he snagged it and played with it, then confiscated it and wouldn't give it back. What was even more hilarious was when I hit another ball to my husband, darn if the cat didn't reach up and bat it back to me-and it was a good shot to boot! We did video some of his antics but unfortunately had stopped filming just before he did that, drat it all. This place is a wonderful place to have a relaxing vacation in a very peaceful and beautiful spot. The swimming hole is welcome on a hot afternoon, and fun to float around on one of the floats they provide or one of your own, or just sit and relax in one of the chairs they provide down there too. When they tell you to bring everything you'll need for food for your stay, they aren't kidding. We had originally planned to stay two nights, but loved it so much we ended up staying four nights. We needed a few supplies as we were running short due to the extended stay, so had to make do with the very little available in the nearby town of Trinity Center, which wasn't much but got us through. We have already made reservations for a full week next year, and will likely make this a regular trip when we take vacations in the future. Thanks, Megan and Peter, for making this such a wonderful home-away-from-home for us!
