My husband and I just spent five days at this Hyatt. We are Hyatt vacation club owners in Key West. We wanted to get into the Hyatt High Sierra at Incline Village which is about 15 miles away and about half a mile from the lake. The High Sierra is one of our favorites. Hyatt offered us this hotel. First of all, this Hyatt is 7 miles from Lake Tahoe. One of their ads say they are on the lake which is simply not true. I am sure this is a great place to stay during ski season as it is at the base of Northstar ski area and you can walk to the lifts. However, in Sept. it is just a new, cold, large hotel overlooking a parking lot and the back of another hotel. This Hyatt opened last December and I think they are still finding themselves so to speak. The rooms are very large and quite elegant but felt cave like. There are four or five stories of the hotel.
