My boyfriend and I stayed at Starr Mansion in October, for a long weekend trip to Napa Valley. The home was beautifully restored, and the owners could not have been nicer or more friendly when they met us. The Sonoma room was a bit small, but we didn't really need much more space than we had. Breakfast was DELICIOUS! Three... more

We spent one night at the Starr Mansion B & B for my husband's 30th birthday. Despite our knowledge that Vallejo is not exactly the gem of the SF bay area, we decided to book a room due to the excellent reviews it received--and we were not disappointed! The room was lovely, bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent!... more

The Starr Mansion bed & breakfast is a true "gem". The rooms are richly appointed with deep wood furniture and antiques - each with their own story. The two parlor rooms downstairs are roomy and exquisite. We stayed 3 nights in the Starr Room for our 24th wedding anniversary - comfy bed, spacious, clean. The 3-course breakfast is great and... more

Not many people know about this charming B&B in Vallejo, which is a short 20-25 minute drive to Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley. The B&B is a few years old and is run by the lovely tandem of Evelyn and Dennis, who took a 19th century luxury house and completely restored it a few years ago with beautiful antiques. The... more

My sister and I had a delightful stay in the Rose Room. We peeked in a couple other rooms, and they were gorgeous. Convenient location, wonderful breakfast, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Be sure to watch for it on "If Walls Could Talk" in Sept. more

My fiance and I stayed at the Starr Mansion for 4-nights in the Starr Suite. We were in town for the NASCAR race at Infineon in Sonoma -- which was an easy drive from the bed and breakfast. It was my fiance's first experience at a bed and breakfast, and he loved it! -- he is offically hooked on bed... more

Starr Mansion Inn is a true joy. First of all, the B&B is sited in an exceptional location - you can get to Oakland, Alameda, SF, Napa, Sonoma and even Sacramento with a minimum of fuss and stress. The Inn looks like what you expect a classic B&B be - preched high on a hill, startling architecture and a dominating... more

The Starr Mansion is what a Bed and Breakfast place used to be:quaint and cozy lodging in someone's home with a home-cooked breakfast , all at a fair price. We arrived rather late at night and were cordially greeted with a nice glass of California red wine. Our room was five star luxury at a three star price. In the... more

This is one of those special "treasures" that we all hope to come across in our infinite search for the perfect bed and breakfast. Our stay was incredible. The room was magnificient (the bed was heavenly!) and our hosts, Evelyn and Dennis are almost too good to be true. From the beautifully antiqued decorated rooms, the most incredible home cooked... more
