We were in a group of 8, we all had great rooms and great service. The concierge desk was excellent!! they booked us tables at restaurants, a hire car and helped with trips to tourist spots. Stayed here for three nights between Christmas and New Year. From arrival to departure all the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. We stayed midweek so it may be quieter than at the weekend, but we had a room overlooking the SkyBar, and heard no noise at all.

Yes, the Mondrian is swanky, edgy, hip and there's a really cool swiveling mirror/TV in each room. But that's about all you'll be paying for - decor. Though it's location is prime, there are several other hotels in the area that you should consider that are a much better value. For a five star hotel, you expect five star treatment....

Room amazing - 10th floor with corner views down Sunset Blvd. on one side and across LA to the other. Funky, big, comfortable. Hotel staff all very friendly and approachable. Had a great night with friends in Sky Bar and breakfast outside with those views is something else - when the smog clears!
