We stopped off at the Holiday Inn Express Westley while travelling through California.Although the Hotel is basically on a truck stop with just a couple of Gas stations and a Mcdonalds the Customer service from the staff made up for any location shortfalls. We stopped in Westley on our way to Southern California. We checked in around 11:00pm on a Saturday night. Clerk at the counter was excellent, room was very clean (extremely cold since the a/c had been left on). Beds and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast items offered were a nice selection. My airconditioning did not work neither did the phone when I tried to call the management. When I talked to the front desk the next morning, they discounted the stay by $10 but since we had to stay in a room with the window open, off of the freeway with lots of traffic, I did not get any sleep. We found the hotel via our Garmin GPS and called the number that Garmin had listed. The desk booked our stay and we arrived 15 minutes later to get a good room that we thoroughly enjoyed. We stay at this Holiday Inn Express every summer for one night on the way to our vacation destination. The hotel is always clean and the staff is courteous and polite. The rooms are roomy and clean. Our kids love to swim in the pool and the continental breakfast is always great. I highly recommend it. more
