We stayed at the Oleander in Yountville the first night of our 4 day trip to Napa Valley for Memorial Weekend. We were very promptly greeted by Kathleen, the home owner. She was very knowledgable and gave us hand drawn maps to get around town, which was extremely helpful since this was our first trip to Wine Country! We stayed... more

I was bit wary of the Oleander House prior to our stay for 2 reasons 1 ) the smoke and 2) I am not much of a B and B girl… Well, the good news is this experience may have converted me over to the B and B side. Kathleen, the innkeeper is VERY accommodating! She really is there to... more

You can't find a better B&B than Oleander House. The Innkeeper, Kathleen, is fantastic. I booked three of her five rooms for my birthday weekend with my family. Several of us have severe food restrictions and Kathleen happily accomodated all our needs. Plus, she helped us with suggestions for local activites and even spent a long phone call discussing restaurant... more

Three wonderful nights at this place and we're trying to figure out when to to back again. Excellent breakfasts served family style. The owner has great ideas for any adventure that you'd like to take. Be sure to book early as she is full most of the season and has only 5 rooms. more

Honestly, after reading some of these reviews we were not prepared for the wonderful time we experienced. The host, Kathleen was very nice, friendly and provided everything we expected and more. The breakfasts were delicious, creative and filling. Our room was more comfortable than what we find in most B&Bs we stay in. Perfectly placed to visit the wineries north... more

Overall our stay at the Oleander house was great. The house did have a strong smell of smoke from either the owners or previous guests. Omitting this smell would have made the stay more pleasent. Breakfast was always presented in a lovely manner. However, over the 3 days we stayed it was very similar each day; fruit, an egg casserole/quiche,... more

We thank our guests for alerting us to the issue of smoke in our facility. We have now identified the source of that issue and eliminated it. We have taken steps to clean all carpets, soft seating and upholstery items throughout the house. We apologize to to the guests visits that were effected by this issue. We can now assure...

Not sure if it was Kathleen or her husband, but someone was a chain smoker and it made the entire house smell like an ashtray. We know it wasn't another guest as we were the only ones staying there for one of the nights. The setting of Oleander was fine - the rooms were pretty comfortable, although a little over-the-top... more

The wife and I just got back from wine country and we had a great time; its hard not to when you love wine. We stayed at the Oleander House for 4 days and 3 nights. Kathleen is great. She makes wonderful breakfast, fresh fruit, pastries, quiches and more.... it was a great way to start a day before drinking... more

I took my boyfriend up to Napa for his birthday, and we stayed at the Oleander House. This was my first time staying at a B&B and I absolutely loved it. The breakfast was great and Kathleen was a wonderful host. She made us feel very welcomed in her house and even made my boyfriend a special brakfast one morning... more
