Body Hair in the sheets, ODOR was terrible. The staff really tried to keep it fresh, they air out the rooms daily but it doesn't help. If you have no other choice it's the most basic. Yreka is on the south side of the Siskiyou Summit of the Oregon-California border on I-5. While the surrounding area has summer and winter recreation, the main attraction is as a stopping point before or after crossing the 4000 foot pass. As a Choice property, it's average. No way would we ever go back! The small hotel is located behind a gas station and shares a parking lot with Taco Bell. The Taco Bell drive-thru is literally 4 feet from the tiny outdoor pool. There is no lobby, just a small counter for registration. Still, none of that concerned us as long as the room was acceptable.... more

This motel should lose their Comfort Inn franchise. They would not honor the Internet rate from the Comfort Inn web site. The toilet did not flush properly. The bathroom fan was very loud and falling out of the ceiling. The rollaway we got was dirty and missing sheets. The front desk help in both the evening and morning were rude.... more

We chose it based on it's rating in the AAA road trip book for California. I can't believe how wrong they were! the Hotel stunk horrible, a cross between Top Roman Noodles, and dirty sweat socks.
