This was our annual trip to Beaver Creek for skiing. We booked our stay at the St. James because of its proximity to the slopes. What great accomodations! We rented a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo that was completely remodeled and brand new on the inside. Comy beds and great bathrooms. TV's in every room so kids could watch one... more
The condos in this complex are recently remodeled and in great condition. Its right on the main plaza and a short walk to the lifts. We have also stayed at Ski in/out hotels in BC such as the Park Hyatt. You may give up some convenience but you really gain a lot in space. When the kids are old enough... more
We just returned from Beaver Creek where our family spent several days skiing. We stayed three nights at St. James Place. We are not ski-in ski-out yet a few websites do incorrectly list this. We are located in the Village at Beaver Creek, so the walk to the lifts is about 5 minutes. Ski storage is also available liftside for a nominal charge to eliminate carrying gear.
Just returned from a weekend at the St. James. From the description on Orbitz, we were expecting to stay in a condo, that was "spacious and beautifully appointed. Each unit offers an entertainment center, fireplace, washer and dryer, balcony, fully equipped gourmet kitchen..." Apparently the St. James is a mix of condo units, timeshare units and hotel rooms. We are working with Orbitz to correct the fact that hotel rooms are not listed on their main page. Our interval units are in the midst of a remodel which will be completed at the end of 2009. This was a wonderful place. Staff was extremly polite and helpful. skiing was right outside the door. Nicely appointed rooms. We stayed in a 3 bed 3 bath condo. I love this ski resort. It doesn't get any better than this more

We stayed in a 3-bd/2 ba. rented, private condo for three nights in July. The condo was amazing! The place was beautifully decorated, had a complete kitchen and washer/dryer. All the furnishings were very comfortable, including the sofas, large dining set and beds. The master bath was gorgeous, with a jacuzzi tub and shower. It was all very clean too.... more

Great location, generally nice staff, but beware of some of the rooms - certain rooms are great - large, good view, high ceilings and quality furnishings, with other rooms it is a completely different story. Do not take a room over the Dusty Boot bar - unless you want to listen to the thud of loud music through the walls... more
Very few of our rooms are above the bar or impacted by noise from it. Guests should request a quiet room or specific view when making their reservation. We are also currently undergoing a remodel.
