Stayed here two nights in late June on a biz trip. Our corporate travel agent booked a great rate (under 150/night). Location was perfect, right a Pearl Street mall where there are tons of restaurants, shopping and good beer. Room was so-so. It was in the new wing and was no better than any Hampton or Fairfield. It had a... more

Stayed for 2 nights on vacation. Room on third floor in the new wing. Good-sized, clean, smart. Excellent service. Lots of character. Good restaurant. Handily placed for Pearl St Mall. A touch expensive but then its a great position. Will stay there again. more

Made reservatins several weeks in advance. We were supposed to receive a 30% discount for being part of a wedding party. Original price was $189, but arrived and found that our rate was $169/night plus $38 in taxes. Several pointed questions got us nowhere regarding the rate, which should have been around $140. Arrived around 3:00 p.m. and was told... more

I am writing this review as I stay in the hotel since they have free internet. Excellent! This is my second time staying in this hotel. It is one of my favorite hotels in the U.S. I love it's old charm (100 years old!), antiquey furniture and decor, cleanliness (it is spotless), and friendly staff. The rooms I have stayed... more

The location of this hotel is great - right on the pearl street mall, so very close to lots of shopping, restaurants, bars - a fun and lively area. The lobby of the hotel is very pretty and historic, and when we were there a trio were set up playing music. My room was on the 4th floor in the... more

My husband attends many conferences throughout the year all over the country and whenever possible our two children (1 and 3) and I like to tag along. So needless to say we have stayed in many hotels over the years, often with our kids. I have never stayed in a hotel that was so friendly and accommodating to us and... more

I’ve stayed here before and even before the recession the desk staff would upgrade me if there were rooms available. This time was a little different. We were there on business but it’s also my anniversary. My husband asked jokingly for the best room in the house free. The desk clerk told him the presidential suite was available for a... more

I think the hotel was somewhat over priced after seeing the accommodations. The lobby is stunning with a huge stained glass ceiling and Victorian decor. The walk down a hallway leading to our room was cluttered with dilapidated, randomly placed antique furniture; which created a storage room look rather than adding to the look and charm of the hotel. The... more

Our group had a large tea at The Boulderado Hotel on 12/14/08. The ambiance was exceptional with Christmas carolers and a huge,Victorian decorated Christmas tree. Claire, the concierge was polite and extremely helpful along with the maintenance man. I had a basket filled with presents and the handle broke. Claire called the maintenance man, and he came and fixed it... more
