We stayed three nights in the Victorian room. Weathered out two record cold days in this city, but were warm and comfortable every night! The breakfast are divine and only surpassed by the warmth and richness of the innkeepers themselves. It is literally a stone's throw from both the old Colorado and Manitou Springs shopping districts which are just filled... more

Loved this place; stayed four nights in July. Old house in Colorado City, the original town, close to Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Hosts are very helpful and friendly; after daily activity, we sat on porch and talked. Sit down breakfast at 8 AM, three fancy courses different every day. Discussions around breakfast table lasted until 9 AM.... more

This has got to be the best B&B in the US that we have stayed at. If you like lively interesting conversation over breakfast with your fellow guests and friendly hosts then this is the place to stay. It all starts at 8am with three courses of healthy but indulgent fresh fruit starter, egg soufflés and Leo's home made cake.... more

We loved the furnishings, comfort, and convenience of the Spurs and Lace. The food was delicious, and the conversations with Leo were enlightening. The house is within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. Very close driving distance to the U.S. Olympic Training Complex, Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Manitou Springs, & Garden of the Gods. We visited all of those... more

On our recent visit, we stayed three nights, and each day found us listening to Leo tell us about his interesting life, having a great breakfast, and enjoying the company of the other guests. Don’t be surprised if you hear about Leo’s cowboy days growing up, have a political discussion over breakfast, or get an impromptu lesson on remodeling! Staying... more

My daughter and I just returned from a college tour of Colorado. We bookend our visit at the Spurs and Lace. This B&B contributed to a great start and delightful ending of our 12 -day vacation. Leo is a gracious host and an awesome cook. Expect a delicious 3 course breakfast. A few of the wonderful items sampled were The... more

We spent 3 nights here with Leo and Sharen and it was absolutely fabulous. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were well insulated so you couldn't hear noises. It was such a great location. We strolled the streets just outside the door during the "Scarecrow Days" festivities and enjoyed the Colorado scenery and local craftsmen. Leo was an... more

We had a wonderful time at this B&B. Leo and Sharon were excellent hosts. The room was comfy, quiet, and clean, and the breakfast was tasty. After waking up with a cup of coffee on the porch, we had lively conversation at the breakfast table. I am not sure why the other reviewer was not comfortable. If you don't like... more

We stayed here a couple of years ago; It was the first time I've ever felt uncomfortable in a B&B. and we've stayed in many over the past decade. The host was extremely talkative and my husband & I didn't feel like we had privacy in the evening or at the breakfast. We were also disappointed with the quality of... more
