We had a 5 day stay that included a weekend and booked a kitchenette to conserve cash. Our trip was a big success mostly due to The Rainbow Lodge & Inn. This was probably top of the line in its day. The first look especially the attempt at looking southwestern makes it look older, which it is, but don't let this stop you. We were looking for the type of motel that I grew up with on family vacations...room, kitchenette, pool. This was it, but I was pleasantly surprised! We stayed in the King sized room with kitchen, and it was elegantly decorated. No cheezy bedspread or wall hangings. There were even throw pillows on the bed. It was clean and smelled great.... more
