I needed a two bedroom apartment with cooking facilities and the Fireside Suites fit the bill perfectly. I visited Colorado Springs in November 04 and found the two bedrooms, bath, living area and kitchen to be exceptional. Situated close to major roads such as Academy Blvd, I24, & Platte was handy for me since I wasn't familiar with the roads. Having McDonalds within walking distance was fantastic! since I have 2 munchkins who want lots of Happy Meals and I'm partial to their breakfast. Also, McDonald's has a HUGE play area the children can waste their excess energy on. Things to comment on: the cleaning staff were great and made sure the trash was taken out every day and the towels replaced (since you're living alongside permanent residents it was nice to have cleaners come in like a usual hotel), the kitchen had everything I needed to save money by cooking meals, the living area was large and had a nice sized TV with VCR, the beds were comfortable and unless you have personal... more
