My husband and I stopped here unexpectedly on the way home from Golden to Texas. We had a great time. They were able to accommodate us at the last minute and were very pleasant. The staff was friendly and informative about the area as for what to do. We stayed in the Independence suite. It was nicely decorated with a... More

Such a treat! This was my first experience staying at a bed and breakfast. Honestly, these folks set the bar high. The staff was courteous, kind, and exceedingly helpful. The food was amazing and the environment cozy. My fiance especially adored the jar of bottomless cookies. They were ever so sweet enough to share the recipe with us. The Aspen... More

My boyfriend and I went to Holden House for an anniversary getaway weekend. The beautiful Aspen suite,(everyone's favorite in the review and I agree it is) comes with a romantic fireplace, spacious hot tub and grand view of the sky ceiling. We looked forward to having a grand breakfast every morning of an assortment of muffins, orange juice, coffee, fresh... More

Our room had a huge soaking tub which was delightful. They offer bottomless cookies (which some people in my group took as a personal challenge!) In the evenings they offer wine & snacks. Breakfast was delicious - southwestern frittata, loads of fresh fruit, warm blueberry muffins.

I recently had the pleasure of returning to and staying at Holden House Bed and Breakfast. As in the past, my stay was highlighted by highly personable and professional staff, expertly prepared and presented food, and a delightful and spacious suite (Cripple Creek). To further make the visit special, the three houses which comprise Holden House were decorated for the... More

We were sorry to read the review of the couple that did not enjoy their stay at the Holden House. We have stayed there at least a dozen times or more over the past 20 years and have always found the Innkeepers to be nothing short of accomodating, attentive and professional. There is nothing creepy at all about the house;... More

We loved the food, the friendliness of the innkeepers and the bottomless cookie jar. The decor was a little creepy with all the old family pictures and the artwork. As much as we enjoyed our breakfasts, we definitely won't be back. We weren't pleased that we made our reservations for the Thanksgiving weekend in mid-October and paid our deposit, only... More

When my husband and I were dating, we wanted a little getaway. We found this and decided to give it a try. They have a wonderful wine social in the evening and delicious breakfast in the am. The room is large and has a fireplace and a HUGE bathtub. Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City are right there, so we... More

Everything said about Holden House in previous entries rings true - well-appointed rooms, excellent location, breakfasts solid and out of the ordinary, a chance to meet other guests both there and at the wine and nibbles sessions in the main house from 5 to 7. The staff (they go by the title of assistant innkeepers) are helpful and informative. The... More

Excellent B&B in a perfect and quiet neighborhood in Colorado Springs. We spent two nights there with a delicious breakfast each morning and a wine and snacks "happy hour" each evening! We got to meet two of the hosts who were sweet as could be and helped us with anything we needed. We will definitely be going back!!
