There was nothing particularly remarkable about the Doubletree, it is a chain hotel much like the other ones in the chain. This hotel is pretty sprawling, so you may have a very long walk from your room to the lobby. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. It is convenient to the highway and nothing in the area is... more

After posting my last review on this property titled "Unsure if I will stay again," I received an e-mail from the manager of the DoubleTree. He apologized for the problems and said he would be glad to provide me with an upgraded room should I choose to return. I decided to give the property another try and e-mailed him back... more

This is an older property that has been kept in reasonably good condition. The architecture and amenities seem a bit tired, but the place has been reasonably kept up to remain competitive in the market. Doubletree beds -- like the beds in the other upscale chains -- are deluxe and comfortable. Room size is a bit above average here. Location... more

We ordered the rooms online and got a nonrefundable discount. The room was very nice, beds extremely comfertable , quiet, pleasant, The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The location was convienient with shopping across the street. Note: In Colorado Springs it's hard to get around without a car. ( though we managed with cabs and the help of the... more

I stayed here for a business conference hosted at this hotel. Check-in was quick and staff was very helpful and attentive to my needs. They offered (complimentary) shuttle service to and from the airport and to some nearby attractions. My room was comfortable and clean and the fitness center was also adequate as well. There was free wifi in the... more

The 70's property obviously needs work. The faucet handle kept coming off in my hand, the toilet barely flushed, the bathtub faucet was improperly installed and the ceilings were dingy. All this might have been easier to overlook if service compensated, but it didn't even come close. I had to call the helpline twice for the same request, and on... more

Stayed a couple of nights on business. This hotel is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The property is older but seems to be well maintained. Staff was fine and competent. Free chocolate chip cookies at check-in. Breakfast was 12 bucks, with very little to offer in terms of varitiey, it got old by the end of the week and other dining... more

Thank you very much for completing a hotel review regarding your stay at our hotel. Your comment regarding the limited variety on our breakfast buffet for the long term stay is valid. We are now working on changing out some items on a daily basis in order to solve this issue. Thank you for your help. We appreciate your business...

We got this hotel by default--left LaQuinta Inn because we couldn't get heat in our "suite" and Doubletree happened to have two king rooms. The rooms were on the first (lower) floor, near the laundry and workout rooms. The rooms are huge, nice bathrooms and the beds were a dream. The workout room is very large and has all the... more

I stayed for approx 5 nights at this property during a recent business conference. Pluses: nice, comfy beds, nice bathroom, quiet. Cons: had trouble with the a/c the 1st night, but then a cool front came through and it wsa not needed....thankfully. Also, furniture needs updating, but the worst of it all was the lousy TV, lack of channels. Interaction... more
