Crested Butte has been a winter weekend destination for a friend and I for the last 3 years. What brought us the first year, was the free skiing at CB, what kept us coming was the Elk Mountain Lodge. We just returned from a one week fishing trip to Crested Butte and stayed at the lodge. It is a historic building, very well maintained. The rooms are not fancy but are very functional with lots of drawer space and comfortable beds. We enjoyed our larger room on the 2nd floor which contained all the necessary amenities that travelers enjoy and expect. The friendly staff attended immediately to our special requests.
