Great visit but a little early for the wild flowers. Will come back again during ski season. We had a wonderful hike on local trails and the old downtown area is historically interesting. If you want an outstanding drive, go up the canyon toward the mountain pass and see the biological institute.

With the rising price of lift tickets, it is nice to find an affordable, convenient hotel with all of the amenities: spa, pool, hot tub, restaurant and a welcoming atmosphere. Loved the spacious rooms with sitting area and kitchen. Having a refrigerator and microwave was a big plus. The hot tub and pool were wonderful after a day of skiing. The warm cookies in the lobby were yummy! My husband had a massage at the spa and was very pleased.

It is amazing how friendliness and service surround the atmosphere. As you enter the Grand Lodge you feel in your own home. The price value and location is excellent. The room I chose was spacious and comfortable. My experience overall was extremely gratifying.

Spring skiing was fun, late afternoons got too slow and slushy but still great. Never any liftlines. The Mountain has it all with free transportation between downtown and the mountain.
