After reading recent reviews posted by other hotel guests I thought this would be a great place to stay. Our initial impression was that this place would be rustic. The check-in process was fine and the front desk staff was very courteous, the hotel/lobby/casino area was needed to be cleaned up. As for the hotel room, to be honest the... more

Ok this town dont have the 5 star hotels. But if you want service and an old west theme then you gotta to stay at the Gold Rush. We went on our honeymoon. I saw that it was the top rated. We waked to all the other casinos and we saw how ours was fun and an old western look.... more

It was my daughters birthday & they decorated the room for her. She was so surprised. If we needed anything extra in the mini bar, they stocked it for us. The hotel was nice. The casino was ok. We did not even win anything the 3 days we were there. more

Everything was wonderful, as detailed in the review below. An additional plus was that it had satellite TV, (necessary in this mountainous area where no radio/TV signal can get through) with a large screen. We won this stay at a raffle, and since I spend over 200 nights in a motel each year, I wasn't as thrilled as my honey... more

We stayed for just 1 night at the Gold Rush but we wish we could have stayed a little longer. The staff was incredibly nice and they were a large part of the reason we didn't wander much to the other casinos. We wish the casino had more tables, but if you like slots, it's a great place and they... more

I live in Colorado and visit Cripple Creek several times each year, the Gold Rush is by far the best casino to stay and play! The entire staff is so accommodating and friendly; they remember your name and your drink. The rooms are updated, very clean and comfortable with a nice victorian décor...great amenities too. Terrific place to gamble with... more

My husband and I make a trip to Cripple Creek about once every two or three months to gamble. We arrived at about 3 pm on 1/19/2008. We had gambled in three other casinos before we stepped foot into the Gold Rush. We were playing the slot machines for about 30 minutes when a security guard walked up to my... more

Cripple Creek is a working mining town, if you are looking for glitz try Vegas. But Cripple Creek has a history to interest everyone, from mines to casinos to old time theatre. The employees in the casinos realize that we are there for them to serve and not the other way around. If one casino is too smoky, there is... more

We stayed here only one night and will definitely go back. The price was great and ALL the employees in the casino and hotel were wonderful. The rooms are delightful and decorated according to the area. A big plus is the free minibar. We were afraid the non-smoking rooms would be smoky from the casino but they were not. My... more

Great place to go on a long week-end! The hotel was very nice, there are only 12 rooms. It was much more than we expected. Very clean, comfortable and it's located right above the casino (couldn't hear anything!). The free mini bar was unexpected, but yes, we took advantage of it (Pop, beer and snacks)! The restaurant in the hotel... more
