When I arrived the woman at the front desk was extremely rude - should have tipped me off that it was going to be a disaster. Room was filthy. Some odor was being masked by lysol or some disinfecting agent. Coldest night there the heat went out. Flimsy doors filthy carpet. Let me start by stating the only good thing about this hotel and that is the proximity to downtown. The hotel itself was dirty. The room smelled like mildew, the sheets and towels were stained. Budget Host Inn is a good deal for the expensive downtown Denver area, its location is on a perch near the freeway and downtown is even within walking distance (20-30 minutes on foot), as I walked from it numerous times at night (be careful as there are cars everywhere but it is for pedestrians).
