My husband and I stayed at the Dripping Springs resort in "The Alamo" during his 2 weeks leave from an Iraq deployment. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the resort to anyone looking for a quaint location in a beautiful setting. We were extremely busy during our stay, so did not take advantage of the many amenities, but... more

We visited in mid-summer, had never been to the area before. We thought the grounds of the resort were outstanding, it is right next to a mountain stream and nicely wooded. We stayed in the Encantado cabin for 2 nights and the Grandma Lillian's room for another 2. I decided that the word 'rustic' means old and worn out. The... more

We appreciate all the input we get, and take each one into consideration. We just finished a huge makeover on the Encantado cabin, now the bathroom is sleek and modern with a walkin shower and beautiful tile, and lots of light and heat. We had a very cold July, down in the 30's which was not typical. One day was...

Dripping Springs is a quaint, cozy resort right on the Big Thompson River. We have never been to Estes Park before and were a bit apprehensive about making reservations for a place we had never been. We choose Dripping Springs because the rates were reasonable and they had a Select Comfort bed (we have one at home and are spoiled).... more

This was a very relaxing trip. The owners were very nice, and more than willing to help with anything, or give ideas of things to do and places to go. I would definitely visit again! more

Before this review begins I would like to add one little caveat to all those who have never visited the Estes Park area, or those who are not sufficiently familar with the regular amenities around Rocky National Park: most cabins in the area are going to be generally "rustic" to most peoples' standards unless you are wishing to pay a... more

We enjoyed our stay at Dripping Springs. The property is quite pretty, right on the Thompson River, and the Prairie Spirit room was quaint and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the private hot tub on the adjacent deck. Amy and Bart were very helpful and congenial and made us feel welcome. We've stayed in many bed and breakfasts and this one... more

My husband and I booked the "Rustic Cabin". It was the most terrible place that I have EVER stayed. I thought the cabin would be set away from the rest of the facility but it was right next to another unit. That would have been okay except the cabin was aweful. Rustic makes me think of an old mountain cabin,... more

I had made my reservation here and was so looking forward to a nice peaceful vacation. Unfortunately, my son had a seizure and three days prior to our trip I had to cancel. They charged me IN FULL for the cost of the entire stay! That was $766 down the drain! This left a really bad feeling for me about... more

With over 200 lodging places in the area, there are definitely a lot of choices, and a lot of different ways folks here make their policies. One overall standard however in the small business lodging industry, especially in a resort town such as Estes Park, is last minute cancellations. Every resort/inn in the area has a policy that states last...

This was our 2nd visit to the Dripping Springs this year and we have already booked a 3rd! This time we stayed in the Pinewood Cabin and it is by far my favorite! The cabin is rustic, which adds to it's charm in my book, clean, full of character and in a GREAT LOCATION. You are quite close to the... more
