The room was clean and comfortable but the whole place had a complete lack of atmosphere and the staff were offhand to put it mildly. Perfect location, nice touches like fresh baked cookies every afternoon. Small things like pull chains not on ceiling fan, were replaced and came off again on first pull. The General Palmer is a beautiful historic hotel that is fist class accomodations all the way. There is nothing more to ask for or add to a stay at this hotel staffed with very helpful and professional local people who went out of thier way to asist us in every way. more
