We decided on this hotel bevause of its perfect location for the Durango/Silverton railroad. Turned out to be an absolute winner. Checkin was swift and the room was real clean and spacious. Good view on the parking and pool area. Also the railroad is in that direction and only a few minutes walk away. Did not actually use the pool... more

okay- you expect some great service for a hotel who charges over 100 a night. The lady with grey and white hair at night was so rude! when I asked for a rollaway she told me she would get to it and then stated she had none left after two hours of waiting for her. At the time of check... more

First of this place is not a ‘destination’ hotel; it’s a room with a bed in an unbeatable location. The property is older but right in the middle of Downtown Durango. The rooms are clean, the service is friendly and for the location the price cannot be beat! I have stayed at several places in Durango over the years and... more

This was a nice surprise. Staying during November, we received their off-season rate and it was a real bargain. The room was nice and you can't beat the location. The linens were in good condition and the room was clean. The staff was very friendly. The only drawback was the continental breakfast. The bagels were pretty dry and there was... more

The hotel itself is not bad at all. Location close to the Durango-Silverton Railway, friendly people at the check in, pool, walking distance to Main Street with restaurants and shops and only to doors away from the small movie theatre. But: 1. Durango is crowded in the summer, especially the weekend. So the rate we were given was pretty high... more

We stayed at the Durango Lodge for 2 nights recently. We loved the experience! The rooms were nicer than you generally find in the chain motels. It had central A/C which meant that it was a lot quieter at night. The bathroom was large with a nice walk in shower. The best part of the Durango Lodge was the location.... more

At the Durango Lodge, you will get a solid value in a town of run-down or overpriced properties. This is right in the middle, with a fantastic location to boot. Locally owned and family run, I've stayed at this property over 15 times on business and always knew what to expect. Clean rooms, great rates (even in high season), extremely... more

We stayed at the Durango Lodge for one night recently and I couldn't wait to leave. The room smelled so bad that even a strongly scented candle and air freshener couldn't ease the smell. I had trouble sleeping, wondering what kind of mold my children were breathing in. When checking in I asked about the must sees in Durango and... more
