The lady who runs this motel has questionable integrity. We had a very bad experience with her. We found her rude and unapologetic for the error that made us search for another place to stay, in spite of the fact that we had made the reservation two months previous and had written paperwork to that effect. Not bad, its was in town not a far drive from the center. The property was old but pretty clean. The room was very small and there was a window AC unit but in that part of the country i guess AC is not necessary. Internet access was so-so. more

we loved our stay at the caboose.. we had helpful staff, very clean and comfotable room with more ammenetys than larger hotel chains with all the comforts of grandma's house. we cant wait to go back.. we will reccomed our friends and family to stay here if they have a chance to visit the great town of durango. more

My team stayed here for a weekend soccer tournament . Most of the rooms in town were booked except for this motel and now we know why. Most of the rooms were small and not so clean. Us kids had a great time on the field but we went to the community center to avoid staying at the dirty motel.... more

Love this place! My husband and I have stayed here several times in the last three years, the last time in October of 2007. We have stayed during all four seasons of the year. Folks were told the property was recently renovated but it did not appear to be . The sheets looked dirty or stained and threadbare, would think that any respectable thrift shop would not sell the linens that the hotel used for the room. Situated a little way out of downtown Durango this quaint Motel has evrything I needed for a good stay. The log cabin/pine panelled interior tickled my girlfriend who thought it was a great place.
