We stayed at The Rochester for one night and have nothing negative to say. The room was spacious and decorated nicely. It was very clean too. You can easily park and walk everywhere. Breakfast was excellent. Too bad we had to leave. It was a very nice experience. more

I picked the Rochester Hotel after searching online and reading reviews and I have to say I was very happy with my pick. It was easy to find and though there are only 8 parking spots behind the hotel I had no problem parking. There was ample meter parking out front for quick off loading of luggage as well as... more

We stayed at the Rochester for 3 nights and found it to be very comfortable and friendly. Decor is very western and they even had old western movies to check out at the desk. My favorite part was the loaner bicycles that are available at the desk. Durango is a very bike friendly town so we took a tour of... more

Our room was on the second floor and included a kitchenette. The room was plenty large and overlooked the street below (which was dead quiet at night). The bathroom was modern and gleamingly clean and bright. If you want a tub--note that most rooms only have showers. The common areas of the hotel are well-kept and comfortable, with a nice... more

We were so excited to stay at the Rochester Hotel! We made our reservations online and received a call to confirm and that is when things went from bad to worse. We were informed that the price we were given with our reservation on THEIR website was wrong and we would have to pay the difference, which was an additional... more

First time in Durango with the sole purpose of a base to tour Mesa Verde. This quaint luxury small hotel and B&B was absolute heaven. Very friendly and helpful staff especailly with my huge heavy luggage. I was given an upgrade to a king room in the main hotel. It was so luxurious. So clean, open , airy and the... more

We recently enjoyed three nights at the Rochester. The hotel is clean, comfortable, with a very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was wonderful. There was a hot breakfast item prepared every morning to go along with the buffet of fruit, yogurt, muffins, cereal, etc. The hotel is centrally located, just one block off Main Street and within walking distance to... more

The Rochester Hotel and Leland House is a wonderful stay. Old building with some of the old fixtures - history, but wonderfully updated bed, lovely tiled bathrooms, very clean and even some luxuries - bathrobe, Aveda bath products, CD/music player... And a wonderful breakfast with lovely, attentive staff. It is in walking distance of lots of good restaurants. Definitely would... more

I stayed at the Rochester this past February and felt right at home! My boyfriend and I came for a romantic getaway and fell in love with the Rochester. Our king room was larger than I expected for a bed & breakfast and had a luxurious western feel to it, without going too overboard. The location and staff were the... more
