We spent one great night at this Best Western, Service at the front desk was great, they told us where to eat at night and they also allowed us to see the room before we purchased it, the floor was very clean and the beds extremely comfy. Swimming pool is good in the evenings, but the infrastructure it seat in... more

Not a bad place to stay. It is an older property but they have tried to keep it up and modern. A good value for this time of year (shoulder season) compared to other places I have stayed in Durango. May not be as good a value during peak season travel to this area however. Clean room, friendly staff, etc.... more

Stayed here for a ski vacation. alothough some of the front desk employees were not that helpful, the overall experience was great. The pool was open and clean. The kid loved it . The breakfast was good. The bedroom we had was great. Very clean, with a fridge, microwave, and very nice bedding. It was close enough to downtown, with... more

The hotel is located right on Hwy 550, the main drag through Durango, so you do get noise from big rigs, hot rods, motorcycles, etc., but by bedtime the noise had subsided. The room was just OK, there was a decent continental breakfast. The hotel is a few minutes' driving from the center of town. Not a great bargain, but... more

Someone with a key card tried to enter the room. I had the safety lock on. The person said they needed to check some furniture in the room. I closed the door, called the front desk and asked if they sent anyone. They said they had no work orders. I stated I was little scared and upset. They did NOT... more

We stayed at the BW Mountain Shadows hotel becase I had stayed here many times as a kid. I Was glad to see that they were renovating the rooms and adding granite to the vanities. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The walls were a bit thin, allowing us to hear some of what our neighbors were doing. Breakfast was... more

I made reservations about 2 weeks in advance. Requested a 1st floor room explaining that I was traveling with a 94 year old man who had trouble walking and guaranteed the room for late arrival. Upon arrival, there were no 1st floor rooms available. Requested a 1st floor room for the following day which we got. There was no offer... more

The Best Western Mountain Shadows was not the nicest Best Western I've stayed at, but I would consider staying there again. The room itself was ok, the frig smelled a bit, but the hotel gave us something for the smell. The wireless service does not always work in the room, so sometimes you have to go to the lobby to... more
