Our family stayed at the Rocky Mountain Chalet for one night over Spring Break. We had two adults and three kids in our group and we stayed in the Rose Suite. The room was very clean and comfortable with two large beds and it felt more like a bedroom in a house than a normal hotel room. This hotel has... More

Well, I don't know from where to start... I guess it is my mistake to expect for almost 200 dollars for 16 hours (check in 6pm-10am) have dissent hotel room in this area. First, when you walk in you will stumble to bunch of shoes different sizes and shapes in narrow hallway and laminated sign, where administration kindly asking you... More

We are a unique accommodation that is both a hotel and a hostel. Our website displays the attributes of both of our lodging options so potential guests can make the choice that is best for them. Our private rooms each offer a different configuration of beds which is clearly described on our website. Most guests find this variety of choices... More

I ski at Winter Park almost weekly. This is my favorite place to stay. I enjoy cooking in the big kitchen, conversing with people from different places, and having a good night's sleep. If you are bothered by a "group atmosphere," this is not what you want. If you like having conversations with fellow travelers, you will like.

We needed to house a high school ski racing team for a Thanksgiving Race Camp and The Rocky Mountain Chalet ended up being the perfect place for our group of 30 or so guests. Making the arrangements with the owner (Dianne) was very simple. The staff (Jamie, Austin and Nick) were extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. They helped us with... More

Stayed in the Rose room on ground floor. Nice size room, comfortable beds. Same point as some other reviews - noise from trains at night (every place in town has this issue, not just this place) and could hear people and kids walking on the 2nd floor (where hostel and big kitchen are). Quiet hours start at 10:30pm and that... More

We booked last minute - had an amazing deal, incredible staff, chocolates in the room - AND the hotel users can mix with the hostel (not hostile - its like a cool group of travelers) crowd and cook their own meals in a group atmosphere with several stoves and fridges. We could have eaten or had a few brews plus... More

We stayed in the Meadow room and really liked it for a couple of days. Comfortable bed and decent sized bathroom. However, there was more noise than in most hotels - mostly from frequent trains on the nearby rail line. Nothing the hotel can do about this. Noise from the floor above was noticeable, but not bothersome. The staff were... More

I stayed in the hostel and it is the very best hostel I ever stayed ii. I have stayed in numerous hostels all over the world and in the US and I rate the Rocky Mountain Chalet as the best of all in all categories: confort, cleanliness, esthetics, friendliness, amenities... The dorm is very attractive (a side table with lamp... More

Stayed in a private room and was amazed at the magnitude of noise. The footsteps from upstairs were so loud that we thought someone was wearing clogs and stomping on the floor. The sliding door to the second floor deck was apparently a hot item to open and close at all hours and sounded like fingernails scraping against a chalkboard.... More
