I'm a local in the area and this is the hotel I recommend my guests, friends and family stay at when visiting. Be forewarned, this hotel is not in what I'd consider Golden. Stayed at the hotel for a visit to the Colorado School of Mines which is located only a few miles away. Have stayed at this property several times due to its proximity to Mines. Reasonable rates, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Not a new property; definitely could use an upgrade, but hotel management and staff make the most of what they have to work with.
