We stayed at this property for two nights when visiting Colorado National Monument. Mary --at the front desk --was very professional, welcoming and helpful. The DVD player in our room didn't work so the staff replaced it with a different DVD player and a different TV--plus gave us a small refund. The beds are wonderful! There was some sound transference... more

We were there on a Thursday night in September and the GJ Farmers Market was going on. It is within walking distance of this hotel and a bunch of fun. We ate at the Brewery that is two blocks away and had a great time. This hotel is fine. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was... more

Lovely BIG room with kitchen. Tempurpedic mattress, free wireless. Spotless room, friendly staff. Easy walk to the only part of town you'd want to walk to or in. We will certainly stay there again! Nicely decorated, I can't say enough, it was perfect. more

The room that I stayed in was terrible. You walk into the room and are greeted by flourecent lighting that is more institutional than warmm and inviting. the bathroom had a ceiling patch that was never finished and some of the bathroom tile was missing. There was no wireless internet service. The outdoor pool is very small and stuck in... more

I had to downrate this hotel because of the discovery of a used condom on the floor next to the bed. I spoke to the management about it. They were sorry but did nothing to compensate for such an incredible housekeeping lapse. Otherwise the stay was fine. The hotel is located on Main St. within walking distance to shops and... more

Stayed here w/ my dad so we could catch Amtrak the next morning (back to Denver after a long road trip). He saw the Best Western Sandman online and we canceled my reservations there. He's picky that way. Well - it worked out. Clean rooms, nice staff, great rate. Overheard front desk staff that it's usually better to call than... more

We stayed here one night after the Hampton Inn next door, where we had a reservation, couldn't find us a room. They comped us at the Hawthorn, which was nice. We had a one-bedroom suite with a kitchen and sleeper couch. It was plenty roomy, everything was spotlessly clean, and it was much quieter than the Hampton would have been.... more

We stayed here for 4 nights during the week of 1/26/09. Over all this is a great hotel. The breakfast buffet was great and the employee who worked the breakfast area was the best - she did not stop moving, she keep everything full and clean. In fact all the employees where very friendly. The room was huge. We had... more

I decided to stay at Hawthorne based on the Trip Advisor reviews. When I arrived at the hotel, I was impressed with the look of the hotel outside and the lobby inside. The check-in staff was friendly and quick. However, when I opened the door to my room, I was immediately disappointed. The carpet was heavily stained and un-vaccummed. The... more
