I would not recommend the Best Western in Lamar Colorado. We stay at Best Western frequently but this one is run down and worse we found animal excrement near the baseboards so obviously cleaning thoroughly between guests is not something they do. more

I brought in a tour group. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED the front desk, do you have a free breakfast and do you have internet? YES they said. They had nether. Free breakdfast ONLY on weekends. This is an older property, but is OK for a stopover. The rooms are large, and ours was clean. Each room had a fridge/microwave, so that was an added plus. Pillow were good. The pool was really warm; made it nice to go swimming with the kids. We didn't eat at the hotel, but could tell it wasn't very busy... more

We've stayed at the Cow Palace frequently over the years. It could use some renovation and a thorough cleaning. The rooms aren't bad and are roomy but in need of a good deep cleaning and some new bedspreads. more

We stopped in Lamar, purely unexpected, and opted for the Cow Palace Inn because it had an indoor pool for the kids. Our room was very nice and very big.
