What a lovely, historic old hotel! We loved our cozy little room with the fireplace (although it didn't work the first night). It was a great, romantic spot. We ordered room service, and had breakfast with them every morning. Both were delicious. If you're going to splurge, this place is worth it. more

The total price of our room, including taxes, was emailed to us. When we checked out it was quite a bit higher. Yes, upon double checking, I find that the desk clerk was right, the extra fees were mentioned somewhere in the fine print of our reservation confirmation. But why not be fair and include them in the quoted price... more

Wonderful people, nice place and good location. However, upon checkout an extra $50 was added to a two night stay over the AAA total. My fault, but my weary brain did not register the extra charge sheet. We stayed at the Cliff House recently and really enjoyed our stay. It's very nice. The place is sort of posh (for us!) but the price wasn't. It is Victorian-style (I think), but not too cutesy/frilly/grandmothery, if you know what I mean. Lots of great amenities! Nice breakfast, very genteel setting. When you drive through the crowded streets of Manitou Springs you might wonder whether or not you made the right choice. Beyond that, you'll never have a second thought! Comfortable beds, great service, wonderful food, historic hotel: this is a truly enjoyable, close to amazing, place. more
