We had stayed here in February and thought we'd try somewhere else on our next visit to Montrose...After checking prices we decided to stay again at the Black Canyon Motel...Flat screen TV, fridge and micro for less money than anywhere else...Fast and friendly service...Walk to Arby's or Chamber of Commerce...

We were headed to Ouray, but didn't have a room there until the next night, so decided to stay in Montrose. We stopped in and got a great room, VERY clean, and very friendly staff. Room had fridge and microwave, plus there was a good continental breakfast the next morning. Would definitely stay here again!

We travel thru Montrose Every 3-4 months & look forward to staying here each time! Friendly staff, great value , conviently located to downtown Montrose , fun seasonal pool. Efficient breakfast with fresh fruit.

I found this place while traveling thru colorado, it came up on my gps when i was looking for a hotel for the night. The first thing I encountered was a barely plowed parking lot. The second thing I encountered was a check-in clerk with almost no personality. The third thing I encountered was a room where the heat was not turned on. Why can't the heat be turned on when the hotel management knows your coming? I called about one hour before arriving.... I do business a lot in Montrose and wouldn't even consider another hotel. Clean, great location, comfortable beds a huge plus, and great service many many things to do close by. I stayed there usually a week at a time and have had zero issiues. Thanks John :)

I was truly pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. I stayed there in October with my dog. All the great comments in the reviews are accurate, and I am booking another stay in January. Need I say more? I loved this place!
