I loved staying 4 nights at the Ouray Hotel Oct 1st. Dale has owned the hotel for 18 yrs. and keeps it immaculate and in top condition. His prices are very reasonable. He is a joy to visit with and a great resource for local sightseeing tips. The hotel is quiet yet right in the Ouray village which is very... More

The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of town. Park your car and walk every where in town in minutes. The mountainous location of Ouray is spectacular. The hotel offered us everything we value - historical structure and historical features. As such, the building is a bit 'funky' and may not fit the "Motel 6" crowd. You must walk... More

The Ouray hotel was built in 1893 and is only predated by one other hotel (by two years) in this historical town. Of course, most of the town of Ouray is from the late 19th century. We were just passing through while on an eleven day tour of southern Colorado and regretted that we could not stay here for two... More

Perfect location, right in the center of town. A historic building that has been converted from an old residents hotel. Family owned and the owner is happy to help with tips for navigating the spectacular surrounds. Prices are reasonable and once you close the door to your room, you don't know anyone else is in the building. More

The city of Ouray is beautiful, people very friendly expecially the hotel owner. Our room was very clean and cozy, bed very comfortable. No breakfast included. No coffee in room but in a designated room a few steps away. Everything there is at walking distance. Definetely recommended. More

Simple, if all you need is a clean room with a separate bath this is it. You do have a flight of stairs to contend with but what do you want for a place built in 1893 . The walls are thin so if you have people in the next room discussing politics or religion your gonna hear some of... More

We usually like motels on long road trips, but we wanted to try an old hotel in an old Colorado mining town. This is a great choice in Ouray. We stayed in a two room suite that overlooked the main street. The suite was very large and very clean and furnished with turn of the century style furniture. Huge windows,... More

This is a very old hotel with rooms that are the size you would expect if you were staying in a hotel 100 years ago (kind of small). But everything we needed was there and it was clean and quiet and the price was terrific( $60 for a single queen). That was in the tourist season and the hotel is... More

The Ouray Hotel is an older, historic hotel. The location is perfect, right in the center of town. The room we had (Suite 8) is a very comfortable room and the decor was perfect. Very spacious room. We were able to look up and down main street. While this room is situated at the front of the hotel, noise was... More

Clean, cheap ($50), quiet, confortable, great value per money. It's in the middle of the town, and the town is awesome so the hotel is worth it. The only complain the men in charge told us to arrive before 6 o clock More
