We really enjoyed our stay at Box Canyon. I had tried to stay here before, but there were no vacancies. We sat in the hot tobs with our friends and loved the location. We walked to eat and the front desk was great with recommendations. Rooms were simple, but really clean. more

Let's face it, we select the Box Canyon Lodge for the hot springs, and the price is right to enjoy the four tubs filled with soothing, geothermally heated water—a good thing to have on property, as the beds will leave you a bit stiff in the morning (at least the king in our economically priced room did). We stayed in room 115 which was very acceptable even though it's obviously quite old and the kitchen floor is sagging. It would be nice if they had a small sink in the kitchen area--there is none and the only sink was in the bathroom (that faucet leaked badly). The rooms are great. The hot springs pools are wonderful. Great views from the pools. The owner and employees were helpful and gracious. Right by the river which you can hear from outside your room. The lodge is tucked away from the downtown bustle. They have a basic continental breakfast in the am which is enough to tide you over... more

We stayed for two nights in a room with a king sized bed - it was clean and neat but very tiny and cramped. Not at all like the room with two queen beds shown on the website video.
