In town for my niece's wedding, much of our family practically took over this wonderful B&B. Phil and Lucy did a terrific job with friendliness and hospitality. Clearly, they love this job. My husband and I stayed in room #5, and our only complaint is that the lighting could be brighter. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at the Black Bear. It is just a block off the main street, and in a nice quiet spot. We left our window open at night and the river lulled us to sleep. I had a great time here! We stayed here for a weekend and had an amazing time. The hosts were nothing but gracious. The breakfast was the best I have ever had at a B&B. The rooms were smallish, but with great beds and very clean. It's in a quiet yet central location. I can't wait to go back!

The Food Was Exceptional, Rooms Were Very Comfortable, Our Hosts Were Warm And Welcoming, Hot Tub Was Very Nice, Location Was Peaceful. Overall An Excellent Experience. We Would Definitely Return. Great For A Romantic Getaway Or An Active Vacation.

The Black Bear Manor was a lovely retreat. Phil and Lucy the hosts were so kind and generous. They really make you feel welcome and there cooking skills made for a fabulous breakfast. It was the most peaceful night sleep and on super comfy king size bed listening to the river. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Spent the night on Sunday May 12, 2013. Phil & Lucie met us on the front porch. They are wonderful hosts. They made our visit very special. The room and furnishings are first class. The breakfast was served at 9:00 AM and was delicious. Will stay here again the next itme we are in the area.

My daughters and I went to Ouray to plan for the upcoming wedding. We loved the Black Bear inn. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is awesome. Phil was so helpful in recommending places to tour in Ouray and the area. When you are in Ouray stay here -- you won't regret it.

We had a lovely two-night stay at Black Bear Manor. The proprietors who welcomed us were friendly, flexible and engaging. Their Inn was tastefully decorated and so cozy and clean! Breakfast both mornings was a scrumpcious smorgasboard: complete with a baked peach French toast, cheesy potatoes, fresh fruit, and so much more! We definitely recommend this location. :)
