Stayed two nights (Fri & Sat) in mid August 2008. This place is creepy...reminds me of the Overlook Hotel in Stephen King's The Shining, except at least the Overlook had decent views and was well maintained. In serious need of bldg maintenance. Rm was clean and comfortable but no fridg or microwave, small (19") TV, very cheap bitter coffee. No WIFI available. The complimentary buffet was mediocre at best. Locals recommended: Econo Lodge, Holiday Inn Express and Pagosa Springs Inn as better alternatives for our next visit. more

"A Place on the Lake" is absolutely perfect for accomodating two or 10. Whether your travels bring you to Pagosa in the winter or the summer, this is a great home away from home.
