Manager was extremely rude even hanging up the phone on my dad. We stayed in a house/cabin and after paying $400/night, we were accused of stealing a tv. I'm so pissed and outraged! We have the police involved so everything should work out, but do YOU want that hasstle? Not me either. By the way, they charged us $650 for... more

Stayed two nights (Fri & Sat) in mid August 2008. This place is creepy...reminds me of the Overlook Hotel in Stephen King's The Shining, except at least the Overlook had decent views and was well maintained. The Pagosa Lodge is old, decrepit, smells musty everywhere, looks worse. Although they advertise WiFi, there was none. The ice machines in the hallways... more

In serious need of bldg maintenance. Rm was clean and comfortable but no fridg or microwave, small (19") TV, very cheap bitter coffee. No WIFI available. The complimentary buffet was mediocre at best. Locals recommended: Econo Lodge, Holiday Inn Express and Pagosa Springs Inn as better alternatives for our next visit. more

"A Place on the Lake" is absolutely perfect for accomodating two or 10. Whether your travels bring you to Pagosa in the winter or the summer, this is a great home away from home. Toasty, wood burning fires in the winter, or lounging outside over looking the lake in the summer. There is a fully stocked kitchen. The bedding is... more

Our experience with the room was bad - and with the manager was worse. The lobby looked good and must have been recently renovated. The rooms are another story. First, we were given a room with no heat. Then we were moved to a room where the sliding glass door would not lock. Although there were not many people staying... more

Location is a bit inconvenient for Wolf Creek Ski Area, but not enough to be a big disadvantage. Rooms were nice, appeared to be recently renovated. The custodial staff did an excellent job of keeping the rooms clean. The management and desk workers had much to be desired. Easily frustrated when more then one person in line, regardless of the... more

Don't be fooled from the pictures on the Lodges website. The place was a dump with a capital D. The pond they show is actually a giant mud hole, not to mention the huge piles of construction dirt and debris. The hotel actually looked like it had been abandoned, dirty screens on the windows with stained drapes. When we went... more

I was given misinformation by the hotel staff when I called to inquire about in room internet service. The only high speed service is in the lobby which was not acceptable to me because if the great amount of work I needed to do online. Five minutes after checking in I went down to the lobby to inform the ownership... more

We stayed one night and were basically looking for a place to lay our head. We were gone all day, so checked in pretty late. Ken was very nice during the check in process and offered a map with some late night dining. We ate at a little Italian place North of the hotel which was good. Room was comfortable... more
